A GE Hotpoint Electric Range - You Can't Go Astray Purchasing One Of These

The Hotpoint electric range is a vintage kitchen appliance. Heck, my grandma still has her 1960's stove in her small cottage by the lake and it's still working perfectly. But, General Electric is noted for producing some of the most dependable kitchen appliances on the market, and their Hot Point series is no exception.

I've encountered quite a few bad brands when I was employed as a salesperson at a local appliance store, and I could always confirm the quality of GE appliances. There are some other good brands out there, but GE just makes some classic workhorses. We also had several of those fancy European (and particularly Italian) models in our store, and they definitely had certain aesthetic qualities - they're lovely little things, really - but they would be returned time and time again with all sorts of problems.

This was really a headache because the parts were so much more costly. While the initial commissions on merchandise like that were higher, and they were good looking appliances at first sight, I soon learned that it wasn't worthwhile selling them. It not only cost the shop money (in which I became a partial investor after a few years) due to the greater amount of repairs we had to do on the machines, but it also adversely affected my sales in the end.

People get mad when you sell them stuff that breaks. Even if you did not know about the quality issues, and ready to fix the problem ASAP, it still was quite a bit of time out of someone's day. From all of my experience, I can state that GE produces some great appliances, and their electric ranges especially stand out. Not only to do they keep up to pace with all of the new (and now evidently necessary features), but they are much less likely to break down.

Fewer and fewer companies produce quality products, and the Hotpoint electric ranges are still the workhorses that they have always been. Frankly, if you're really using your appliances, there is no reason to just go for anything that looks nice. Pick out something that makes an effort to combine style and function. And be sure it is a good model. From my experience, you can't go astray with a GE Hotpoint range.
